    Step 1: Import Video Clip(s)

    Click the Add File(s) button in the main toolbar and select the video files to import into the VideoPad file bin. You can also drag and drop your video file into VideoPad.

    Step 2: Drag & Drop Video Clips Together on The Timeline

    Click & drag your first video clip into the video sequence timeline. To add more clips to the timeline drag another clip to the end, or beginning of the current timeline. To easily see the end or beginning of the timeline, use the scroll wheel while hovering over the timeline to zoom out of the full sequence.

    Step 3: Adding Clips in the Middle of an Existing Sequence

    To split a clip & add another video in any section of the sequence, drag the red cursor to the point in the video you would like to split and then click the “Split” button or Press “L” on your keyboard as a shortcut to create a split in your sequence. To add a clip in the split section, click and drag your clip to the beginning of the split sequence.

    Step 4: Adding Transitional Effects to Any Part of Your Sequence

    Near the top corner on the end of any clip in the timeline click on the “Add Video Transition” and choose your desired transition. The transition will be added to the top right of the end of any clip. You can stretch or Shrink the length of the transition by dragging the edge of the transition on the timeline.
