Can I add text to my videos?

Yes. You add text as its own clip, which you must overlay on another clip if you want it to appear over a background:

1. Click the Add Text button on the Home tab toolbar.


2. The Add New Text Clip window will open. Name the text clip so you can easily identify it in the bins, then type the text you want to appear in the Text to display field. Click Add to add the text clip to a bin.


3. When the text clip is selected, you can change the text attributes, such as font, color, and size by clicking the large T button in the Clip Preview panel.


4. To add your text to the sequence, click and drag it from a bin to the sequence. You must place it in the video track above the clip it should appear over.
